International Education and Global Mobility

Through Exchange Programmes — the education and global mobility brand operated by Magic Gate LLC — we support students, professionals, universities, and institutions with admissions, recruitment, partnerships, mobility, and visa preparation.

The market

Education & Mobility in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region

Iraq sends a significant number of students abroad every year, and the institutions that recruit well here do it through sustained local presence rather than campaigns. Students and families make these decisions slowly, on trust, and largely through people they can meet.

For universities, the difficulty is representation. Recruiting at distance means relying on agents whose incentives may not match the institution's, with limited visibility into how the institution is being presented. For students and families, the difficulty is the opposite: knowing which guidance is independent and which is selling a particular destination.

Exchange Programmes is Magic Gate's education and global mobility brand, operating its own platform and mobile app alongside ApplyGo.ai and Visa Chance Checker. It works with institutions on partnerships and recruitment, and with students and professionals on admissions, applications and mobility.

In practice

What this looks like in practice

Three situations we are asked about most often.

A university building a presence in Iraq

An institution wants qualified applicants from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region but has no local presence. We provide representation: information sessions, local enquiry handling, application support, and a consistent point of contact for families, in their own language.

An institution reviewing how it is represented

A university is recruiting through agents and cannot see how it is being presented. We set out how institutional recruitment actually works in this market, and what direct representation would change.

A student or professional planning to study abroad

An applicant needs to understand options, requirements and timelines before committing. Exchange Programmes supports admissions, applications and the preparation that follows, including the visa stage.
