Agriculture & Food Sourcing in Iraq
Sourcing inputs, machinery, and ingredients, and connecting producers with international buyers and suppliers.
Agriculture & Food in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region
Iraq imports a large share of the food on its shelves, and the Kurdistan Region is no exception. That makes the country a consistent destination for international food brands, ingredient suppliers and agricultural equipment manufacturers — and makes reliable sourcing a permanent requirement for Iraqi importers, processors and distributors.
The commercial difficulty is rarely demand. It is matching: an international supplier cannot easily tell which Iraqi distributor actually reaches the retail channel it needs, and an Iraqi importer cannot easily verify a supplier it has only met at an exhibition stand. Specifications, certificates, shelf-life requirements and payment terms all have to be agreed across a language and distance gap.
Magic Gate works on both sides of that gap. We are based in Erbil, we speak Kurdish, Arabic and English, and our role is to research, qualify, structure and introduce — so that the first conversation between two companies starts from a clear specification rather than a guess.
